Barclaycard

In 2005 as part of its corporate responsibility activities, Barclaycard launched new community programme Horizons, a unique community investment programme that helps disadvantaged lone parents make the transition out of debt and poverty.

Good Values was charged with reviewing the programme after the first two years and to make recommendations for Years 3-6 to ensure Horizons strategically maximised the benefits for all stakeholders and deliver a greater sustainable impact.

Using our Social Leadership Model™, we helped Barclaycard implement key recommendations to the initial programme to ensure Horizons delivered a greater impact for Barclaycard, the charity partners (Citizens Advice Bureau, Gingerbread and Family Action) and the lone parents.

Barclaycard’s Horizons programme won the 2010 Third Sector Excellence Award for Corporate Partnerships.
