Corporate fundraising set for success as fundraisers predict future growth
Corporate fundraising is overwhelmingly seen as an area of growth for charities according to a new research report released today. For the full report, click here.
“Corporate Fundraising in the UK”, produced by Good Values in partnership with the Institute of Fundraising, is the result of quantitative and qualitative research with nearly 100 leading charities.
The results demonstrate that there is reason for charities to be optimistic about future success in their corporate fundraising with 95% of respondents viewing it as an area of growth for their organisations, while also reporting a consistent increase of around 12% per year in the average income raised through corporate fundraising over the last three financial years.
The research also reviewed key success factors and potential challenges for fundraisers with ‘resourcing, organisational readiness, development of a case for support and competition from the sector’ being thought of as the most challenging issues faced by the sector. At the same time, having the right number of well-skilled staff in corporate fundraising teams was seen as both a challenge and a critical success factor.
